How will life go on after the collapse of the globalised political and economic systems? How will it survive the large-scale disruption of our planet's ecological and climatic systems? And what will become of the immense systems of belief, love and thinking as they start to shake within? The answer to these questions has to persist in the face of so many failed attempltes in the past. The world stands on the brink of an abyss. - This book offers an idea of how such an answer could look like.

I perceived myself as an explorer, searching for the basic structure of a prehistoric healing culture. I saw how the humane impulse had maintained itself through the times of oppression, and I traced it back into prehistoric cultures. There I rediscovered the positive source of female sensual freedom and woman's original nature. I was trying to rediscover a tremendous original power that we have all forgotten: the female source, and with it, sexuality.

If we want peace on earth, we need to get an idea of what peace is. More than 30 years ago a team of pioneers around the psychoanalyst Dr. Dieter Duhm, the theologian Sabine Lichtenfels and the physicist Charly Rainer Ehrenpreis came together to create a model for a future world society in which peace is manifested and can be experienced as convincing and generalizable as possible. This led to the foundation of the Peace Research Tamera in the Alentejo in Portugal in 1995 with its international network.

The book gives an insight into the current status of the work of this project based on three key areas: permaculture and water landscape,  solar technology and peace education.

The Sacred Matrix is the matrix of life itself. It is present in the blossoming of a tree, in the scent of a flower, in the chirping of a bird, in the wallowing of a pig, and in the blowing of the wind. It is present in the depths of the oceans, in the folds of the mountains, in the river valleys, and on the mountaintops of eternal silence. (...) It sometimes peers out, pure and clear, through the eyes of a baby. Sometimes – in the most beautiful moments of love – it reaches our heart. It is then that we are transformed for a brief eternity and we know the goal of our journey. 

Global injustices are occurring on earth and they have indescribable consequences for all those affected by them. If we are able to recognise the dimensions of suffering, we will also be able to assess the dimensions of the healing that is necessary. There are possibilities for salvation. They can be found outside our conventional thinking patterns and forms of discussion, but they are as real as the wireless internet or the Hubble telescope in space. Who would have thought 50 years ago that such things would become reality? Given a different focus, the intelligence capable of developing electronic weapon systems is equally capable of developing systems of non-violent co-habitation on earth.

There cannot be peace on earth as long as there is war in love. I have written this book because it was inevitable. The issue of sexual love had to be seen and dealt with from a different perspective. It is the issue of our time, although the proclaimed slogans may sound different. It is said that the sexual revolution is a thing of the past, but from within, it hasn’t really started yet. Today more people suffer or become ill as a result of an unre-solved longing for sex and love than from environmental pollution.

It is a strange feeling to reach for non-attachment while at the same time seeking to move millions. It is at this point that I deeply want to understand something and then let go of it. The following decisions shall further my radical inner nature and my commitment. They might at first seem quite ascetic but they release joy inside of me. These are my basic rules for power and strength: I walk the path of connection. I walk the path of simplicity. I walk the path of trust. I walk the path of truth, solidarity and surrender to divine life. I dedicate my life to service.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

These words by Jesus have been with me since my early youth. As a theologian and friend of original Christianity, I have for many years been engaged in peace work. My most important goal is the dissolution of fear and the creation of trust, both between human beings and between humans and their co-creatures. All beings can become partners in the world- wide work for peace, if they can connect with each other in trust. When I am in prayer, I often receive inspirations regarding this topic. This book deals with the emergence of a new concept in art. In it we see a spectrum of the artistic work by Dieter Duhm. It is the documentation of “working” with the topics of Creation, art and sensual love. The unity of these topics is not immediately defined, for what is here seeking to be integrated into life comes from a realm of perception where definitions cease to operate. And yet it wants to be brought into consciousness: art as a special kind of activity, which reconnects the human being with Creation, with the forces of the GREAT ATELIER.

Art as the design of a life that is being dreamed, as a new state of being among people, as a medium of liberation, celebration and gratitude.
